Galen does devotions with the kids before they go to school in the morning. He started in Genesis and just reads straight out of the NIV translation of the Bible. The kids love it! They love it so much that on the few days that he has been out of town they make sure that I still read to them.
(sidenote: Of course one of the days that I am reading to the kids it would happen to be Genesis 19 and the inappropriate relationship between lot and his daughters. Yeah…I did some quick editing. When I told Galen about my editing, in true Galen form he said…”Jenn, I don’t know about you editing the HOLY Word of God.” Very funny Galen, very funny.)
Back to the story…
So last week Galen is reading in Genesis 25 about the birth of the twins Jacob and Esau. He comes to the section where the Lord is speaking to Rebakah about her twins and the Lord says,
…one people will be stronger than the other,
and the older will serve the younger.”
To which Tucker in perfect, unprompted timing says…”Nice.”
Love that kid. He cracks me up. :)
