a really long post about our really long week…:)

Last Thursday Tucker was a Shepherd in his class Christmas play…

and then he had fun at his class party…

That night Jackson, Mackenzie and I worked on some Rudolf cupcakes and Christmas mice to share with their classmates…

Friday brought two more class parties…

two kids and a tired mommy who had a great time too. :)

On Saturday we made our annual trip to Marble Falls…

Sunday we decided to get one more use out of our Six Flags passes and go enjoy their Holiday in the Park.  Our first stop was Santa’s Castle…

As you can see…Luke’s opinion of Santa hadn’t changed a bit…it might have even been a little worse.  However, the rest of the kids loved Santa…especially Tuckie.

What Tucker didn’t love were the dark chocolate m&m’s that Santa was passing out.  So I sacrificed and ate them for him. :)

The kids also loved the “Texas Snow” (aka bubbles) that sprayed out of the lamposts at the tree lighting…

Although Luke did not enjoy meeting Santa he did enjoy the Wiggles Christmas Show and he looked really cute in his Winter hat…:)

On Monday my mother in law called to let us know that they were expecting lots of snow and possible blizzard conditions in Kansas and Nebraska on the day that we were scheduled to leave.  So we made a quick decision to leave at 4am Tuesday morning instead of 11am Wednesday morning.

That night we celebrated Christmas with my parents and my brother.  The kids were crazy and  the present opening was chaotic (we will DEFINITELY do things differently next time).  But we were thankful to be able to celebrate together before we left on our trip.  The kids loved their gifts and will enjoy playing with all of them when we get back.  Unfortunately,  I did not get any good pictures.  This is about the only halfway decent one…

I packed until 1:30am.  We were on the road by 4:30am, and we pulled into my in-laws driveway at 6:30pm.  The kids were great and we are so glad that we left when we did because this is what we woke up to…

It didn’t take long for the kids to start enjoying the snow…

And to think the fun has only just begun…we will be here for another 10 days. :)

Feeling very blessed tonight and so thankful for the Lords protection over our family as we traveled here…
