and three others to Houston this weekend. We are going to celebrate my niece’s birthday. The kids are so excited! Galen is headed to Nebraska today for a work event and then to see Nebraska play Oklahoma…to say he is excited is the understatement of the year. :) Have a great weekend…

and little Superman…

a fight broke out between Obi Wan and Snake Eyes :)…

But they decided to put their differences aside so they could go trick or treating. :)
Didn’t get any pictures of the actual trick or treating. Our small group from church hosted a Halloween outreach. We set up games and handed out candy, cupcakes, and nachos in front of our friends Layne and Kristin’s house. I ran one of the games while Galen took the kids to get their candy loot. :) Fun night…great memories for the kids.

Powerful things happen inside when you spend time with God.
When you are in His presence for extended periods,
the molecular composition of your soul gets restructured.
Bob Sorge
This book has challenged me in more ways then I could begin to describe. Honestly, it is a love -hate relationship :)…such deep conviction of my flesh…such comforting truth to my soul.
When we place ourselves in the sun of His countenance,
the radiation of His glory does violence to the cancerous iniquities
that we often feel helpless to overcome. Time in His presence is
perhaps the most potent procedure to deal with the
chronic sin issues the plague us.
Sorge
To say that I recommend this book would be an understatement. It is not just like reading another book…it’s like going on a journey.

…so we decided to “spruce it up.”

…that is how I have been feeling after spending this past weekend celebrating Luke’s birthday. We were surrounded by our family and our precious friends who we love and appreciate so much. I never want to take any of it for granted…

Who am I, O Sovereign Lord, and what is my family,
that you have brought me this far?
