…by the beauty of new life. Luke David Conant was born at today at 10:25am weighing 7lbs 8oz and 20 1/2 inches long. It was a very smooth and easy delivery and mom and Luke are doing great. Here are a few pictures…

…went to my doctor’s appointment this morning at 9:30am and was not let go until 3:00pm. My blood pressure was high again and when they couldn’t get it down in the doctor’s office they sent me to labor and delivery and I spent 4 hours hooked up to the monitors. This was not how I was expecting to spend my day, but I’m thankful that they are wanting to be careful and make sure that the baby and I are healthy. So…I have an induction scheduled for 6:00am Thursday morning (my due date). I’m excited and very ready to meet this little guy. Can’t wait to post some pictures…who knows maybe we’ll have another red head.:)
…be back as the mother of 4

…well, I have been anti-blog all week because I keep thinking…maybe tomorrow will be the day when I can title my post…”He’s Here” or “It’s a Boy!”…but so far, no such luck.:) He just seems to be very content in my belly for a little longer. I’m just going to keep busy and do some walking and hope that he will come soon.
It has been a really great week. Here’s what’s been going on:
- Our dear friends (just like family), Bo and Lauren welcomed their 3rd daughter, Evelyn Grace, on Monday. I got to see her on Tuesday and she is absolutely beautiful! It made me so excited to meet our new little guy.
- On Wednesday, on the way to golf, Jackson says…”Hey mom, my tooth just came out.” He was totally calm. It was an almost bloodless, non-event. Of course the first thing he did when we came home was put it under his pillow, and thank God the “tooth fairy” remembered on her way to bed at 11:15pm.:)
- Tucker and Mackenzie had a great day at preschool on Thursday. About 10 fireman and two firetrucks came to the school. They got to get in the trucks, use the hose, and learn about fire safety. The best part was when one of the trucks got a call and they had to quickly leave. The kids thought it was so cool! I wish I would have been there to take pictures, but I was having lunch with Jackson at his school.
- I crossed some major things off my “to-do” list. It feels really good.
- And, with the help of my mom, my house is looking cleaner than ever. She even cleaned my couches! Thanks Mom…what would I do without you!:)
Have a wonderful weekend. Hope to be back soon with some baby news…

Well…not everyone can have fun ALL the time…
Switch to a little game of Simon Says…”Simon says jump!”
“Simon says stick out your tongue”
“Simon says put your hands up”
“My turn to be Simon”:)
On another note…
Jackson has been DYING to lose a tooth. It seems like every kid he knows has lost one if not more (his best buddy Daniel has lost 5!). So, about two weeks ago he came home from school and told me to look in his mouth. Well, he had a tooth growing in behind a baby tooth. I told him that it probably wouldn’t be long before the baby tooth was loose. He was thrilled and yesterday he came home from school so excited because the tooth was FINALLY LOOSE! He wanted me to take a picture.:)
Can’t wait until it is time for him to actually pull the tooth out. This kid’s pain tolerance is about zero and he’s not a big fan of blood. Maybe the $ will be a big enough motivation!:)
Happy Saturday…
jenn:)
P.S. Still waiting for baby…:)
…when I went to the doctor yesterday my blood pressure was back to normal. I had a few tests run and they said IF something is abnormal…we will call. No call, so I’m assuming everything is fine.:) Crossed a few more things off my to do list and I’m trying really hard to put my feet up a bit more.:)
Be back with some recent pics of the kids…

…centimeters that is.:) Sorry for the lack of blogging. Just a lot of “getting ready” going on around here. Actually probably a little too much “getting ready.” I am really bad at slowing down and I think my body has had enough. At my doctors appt today they told me that my blood pressure was high, and there were some issues with my urine (too much info…sorry:). So, I have to go back tomorrow to have my blood pressure checked, blood drawn, etc… I have felt pretty crummy all day so I think I am finally realizing that “I NEED TO SLOW DOWN!” I just insist on learning things the hard way (I can hear my parents loudly saying “Amen” right now:). I have spent the entire afternoon on the couch, drinking a lot of water, and taking cat naps. We’ll see what they say tomorrow…
