We are enjoying a white Christmas with Galen’s family. LOTS of family, LOTS of food, LOTS of noise (from the 19 grandkids age 9 and younger!), LOTS of fun! We are so blessed and never want to take these times for granted.
I wanted to wish my Dad a Happy Birthday…yes he was born on Christmas day:). I love you Dad…thank you for loving me so unconditionally for 31 years, but more than that…thank you for loving the Lord and for making Him the foundation of our family. Have a wonderful day!

…that would be the plastic pirate knife and the bouncy ball that looks like an eyeball, but anyone walking by in the parking lot wouldn’t have known that!:)

My favorite new Christmas craft (idea taken from another blog:). It is just styrofoam cones wrapped with strips of Christmas fabric and then some little birdies on top…so cute…
Our favorite books to read (over and over again:)…Mortimer is such a precious little story about a mouse who “meets” baby Jesus and Are you Grumpy Santa is hilarious!
Our favorite new nativity scene…it’s from Playmobil and the kids love it:).
Favorite yummy Christmas treat…brownies from Paula Dean..sooooo good. Here is the recipe:
2 cups sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup vegetable oil 1 1/2 cups flour
4 eggs 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
6 tablespoons cocoa
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Blend together sugar, oil, eggs, cocoa, and vanilla. Add flour; mix. Add nuts; spread into greased 9 X 13 baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Only 15 days left till Christmas…:)

…I need to remember that even though he is my oldest… he is still a little boy… who somedays just needs a break from school… to just be at home doing what he loves the most…
